The 1959 stadium a block from Sanlitun, demolished and rebuilt on its footprint as a 68,000-seat football-only ground that opened in April 2023 — home of Beijing Guoan, the capital's club, whose green-shirted crowd is the loudest regular event in the city. A Chinese Super League home game (season roughly March to November, most Saturdays or Sundays) is the one mass spectator experience a visitor can buy: tickets from about ¥160 (2026 notices) on Damai or Piaoxingqiu, real-name, one per ID, and the club's own ticket notices say foreign passports are accepted for purchase and entry. Outside match days the stadium is a building to walk round; the clubs and bars of Gongti fill the perimeter.

Beat the crowds
A match is the crowd — 40,000-60,000 on a weekend fixture, with Gongti North Rd closed to traffic before and after; arrive an hour early for the security and ID check, and expect 30-45 minutes to clear the area afterwards. Big fixtures (Shanghai Shenhua, Guangzhou, derbies) sell out days ahead.
Language
Tickets, notices and stadium signage are Chinese; the club's website has an EN switch. The crowd's chants are the only soundtrack you need.
